Yesterday's Upper Body Workout
I really should have titled this “Yesterday’s Upper Body Workout Attempt” because I was basically dead within the first 10 minutes. For the past two days I have woken up with a super scratchy throat that lasts all day, low energy, and an almost nonexistent appetite (which is seriously unheard of). So even though I left work and went straight to the gym, I still couldn’t really do anything about the fact that 20lb kettlebells felt like 50lbs and I was out of breath instantly. But I took nice long breaks, drank a lot of water, and completed a modified 35ish minute version of the workout I had originally planned (found below). Aka I never got on the erg and I skipped seated rows. It just wasn’t all happening for me ya know? But I jump roped like an insane person and that felt really great except my calves and my butt cheeks were on fire. But in a good way. Even though it was supposed to be an upper body workout. My arms were on fire too don’t worry.
This morning was a little bit of a mess because I left my new lunchbox at the hair salon last night and had to bring my lunch in a plastic bag this morning. I also had to bring food for today and tomorrow and pack clothes for tomorrow because I won’t be going back home tonight. I forgot to do any of this last night and I woke up late so it was a mad rush to get to the train on time.
Considering my water bottle is currently filled to the brim with Emergen-C, my workout today probably won’t be much better than last night, but I shall try my best anyways! And if all else fails at least I have freshass highlights *prayer hands emoji*
