Charity Bootcamp Recap
Last night I held a fundraiser for work, combining both my 9-5 job in nonprofit fundraising with personal training. I held an outdoor bootcamp workout at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and charged a minimum donation of $15 to participate. While I was expecting around 25 people, only 10 showed up, but thanks to generous donations and donations from people who didn’t even come (cough, my mom, cough), I raised over $400!
It was Wednesday so I’m sure plenty of people didn’t want to miss Center City sips happy hour (eye rolllllllllllll). You have every Wednesday for the rest of the summer to get discount cocktails people, OKAY?!
ANYWAYS, thank you to those who came out and showed their support of both The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and myself. I like to think we had a lot of fun but then again I only ran up and down the stairs once and they did it about 10 times hehehe.
I’m now thinking I will probably hold multiple similar events because everyone loves coming to bootcamp & once is just not enough!! Right?! Just me?!
So if you missed it, keep your eyeballs peeeelled for another one coming up!
Here is a snippet from what I put them through yesterday in 80 degree June weathaaa:
Next time we'll get Sylvester Stallone to join us. And Michael Nutter.
