Be Well Philly Boot Camp & More
What a great weekend!
I woke up early Saturday and headed over to the Drexel Recreation center for the Be Well Philly Bootcamp (it was more like a fitness expo). They had workouts scheduled throughout the day by various yoga/spin/bootcamp trainers from the area, as well as a “marketplace” with different vendors. There were nutritionists, gyms, fitness apparel brands, KIND snacks, a holistic wellness center, beauty brands, and more. They also had speakers touching on topics from weight loss, to life coaching, to the importance of a strong pelvic floor. I was there to represent the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and I got to walk around and explore all the fun stuff they had to offer. It was really nice to see so many like-minded people enjoying the day, meeting new people, and getting their workout in.
After that I got a blow-out (I’m addicted to blow-outs. And manicures. And all things pamper-y) and went to Fleming’s to celebrate my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend. Filet mignon will always be one of my favorite things to eat, ever. He got me some beautiful flowers that he actually picked out himself at a florist so that it would include all my favorites, and it was the most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever gotten! It really is the thoughtful little gestures isn’t it?!
Sunday = brunch and I brunched HAWRD. Banana walnut pancakes, bacon, and a side of sweet potato fries. Basically all my favorite things at one meal. So many, many carbs. It was delicious though. Today I will envision all of those carbs going straight to my ass as I squat and do hip thrusters. Leg//glute Monday’s come after the weekend for a reasssoonnn ya’ll.
