Brunchin', Tailgatin', Beachin'
This weekend was a good one. Friday night I just hung out and watched TV and ate snacks and it was AWESOME. Does anyone else watch The League? I know I’m like, years behind, but my sister just made us start watching it when we were on vacation together and it’s hilarious. I’m almost done the entire series already, whoopppsss. I love having stupid, funny TV shows to watch. I’ve gone through The Office 2 or 3 times already. Scrubs twice. Friends infinity. Thank you Netflix.
Saturday morning I got up and met a client at the gym, which was a great excuse for me to get a workout in as well after our session. I usually take the weekend to recover but I was feeling good and definitely up for it. I practiced some barbell cleans to overhead presses, which were an awesome total body move that wiped me out pretty quickly. I also did some barbell rows, and finished with isolation work on the cable machine with bicep curls + tricep pushdowns.
After my workout I walked through center city, grabbed an iced coffee to-go, and met my boyfriend for brunch at Devil's Alley. Cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy with a side of scrambled eggs? DON’T MIND IF I DO. I also finished Dan’s pancakes, WHOOPS. Guess I worked up an appetite during that workout.
As soon as we were done we went back to his place and I showered and got ready for the Florida Georgia Line concert with some friends from work. They picked me up and we were off to tailgate!! I opened the trunk to get my beach chairs out (which is the only thing I was in charge of) only to find I had packed two beach umbrellas instead of chairs. But it worked out perfectly, because it started raining on all the tailgaters so we stuck an umbrella in the grass and sat underneath it! Boom, nailed it.
The concert was amazing and so much fun and I got to see two other artists that I love, The Cadillac Three and Cole Swindell who opened for FGL. Nothin’ like a country music concert on a July night ya’ll.
Sunday morning I miraculously didn’t wake up dead. Actually I was pretty wired and had to basically drag Dan out of bed so we could pack the car and head down the shore for the day. It was such a perfect beautiful beach day, aside from the seaweed in the ocean. I don’t like the seaweeds. I basically slept the entire day between going in the water and then we got some Manco’s pizza on the boardwalk and called it a day.
Not a bad weekend!
Anyone else do anything fun this weekend? Feel free to share in the comments!
